Dr. Maria Frexes is board-certified and specializes in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.  Dr Frexes performs procedures for surgical treatment of diseases of the breast, skin and endocrine systems. She also performs open and laparoscopic procedures for disease of the biliary and gastrointestinal tract, hernia, colon and rectum.

 

Dr. Frexes has a special interest in Surgical Oncology including breast cancer and melanoma. She provides minimally invasive breast procedures both in the office and operating room including office ultrasound, vacuum assisted core biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, and radiotherapy balloon catheter placement for partial breast irradiation. Dr. Frexes also performs sentinel node mapping for breast, melanoma and other cancers.
